Daniel Boyd

Daniel joined Ava’s Army as an experienced non-profit leader with 16 years of experience, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for a local non-profit in Omaha. Not only was the mission of Ava’s Army a draw for Daniel but the opportunity to lead a young non-profit into its next phase of life, was a chance that Daniel couldn’t pass up. While cancer hasn’t had a direct and devastating impact on Daniel’s life, there is an understanding that it’s not a matter of if but a matter of when.

Born in Kansas City and raised in Omaha, he holds a master's degree in Public Administration and an undergraduate degree in Sports Administration.

Daniel is a board member for the Boy Scouts and enjoys spending his leisure time watching sports, playing sports and being with his family. A recent graduate of the Nonprofit Executive Institute Class 18 through NAM (Nonprofit Association of the Midlands), Daniel joins the Ava’s Army team ready to lead the organization into its next life cycle.

When not working, Daniel enjoys watching any and every sport available. Most days, you’ll be able to find Daniel wallowing in his own sorrow as he probably just watched one of his teams lose, but his loyalty is strong and there’s always next year!
