Dawna Daily holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and serves as a Special Education Teacher specializing in transition for the North Platte Public Schools. With a lifelong dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities, Dawna also serves as a proud board member for the Down Syndrome Association for Families.
She is the founder of two Nebraska-based businesses—Daily Yaymaker, LLC, a consulting company out of Gretna, and Daily Paralegal Solutions, LLC, which provides professional support to legal offices and organizations. Most recently, Dawna became the President of The Daily House, a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a civic mission to expand opportunities and services for individuals with intellectual and other disabilities within the community.
After joining the Ava’s Army Board following the 2025 Color Run, Dawna was deeply honored to be selected as the organization’s first official employee, serving as Part-Time Donor & Event Coordinator. Reflecting on this opportunity, Dawna shared, “Becoming a part of the Ava’s Army team has truly been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. To stand beside such passionate and compassionate people—working together to make a difference for families facing childhood cancer—is both humbling and inspiring. It feels like a calling fulfilled.”
Dawna and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 33 years and are the proud parents of two grown sons, Bryan and Collin. Their family has recently grown to include a wonderful daughter-in-law, Libby, and two beloved grandchildren, Zane and Eden.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Dawna has a special passion for choosing meaningful gifts and experiences for others. She’s also a devoted animal lover, sharing her home with two dogs—Ruby, an Irish Setter, and Pippin, a miniature Schnauzer—as well as one spirited tabby cat, Cindy Lou Who.
